My First Birthday Present This Year

Went to meet Michelle for dinner today. Decided to go to this cafe which both of us nv went before at Purvis St. It's called Miss Clarity Cafe - A small simple cafe with simple deco, suitable for friends & couples. I spotted this place one day while I was helping my despatch guy to post letters @ Bras Basah. Always curious what are the eatery shops at Purvis lane. There's Killiney coffeeshop with nice wallpaper for their wall deco (Dun play play hor)... A Japanese restaurant, two Shanghai cuisine restaurants and a few coffeeshops.

Back to Miss Clarity Cafe, this cafe mainly serves western food. Price reasonable, no service charge. $11 for soup+main course+drink+dessert. Food tastes average but nt bad. A bit of 'candlelite' dinner cos the waiter light up the small candle at each occupied table. Darling was complaining I can only have candlelight dinner with him wor...

Received my first birthday present from Michelle this year - A bag from Charles & Keith. Heard from her that her bf helps in choosing my present. So honoured man...

Fri 13th - My MD gave me a fright!!!

Today went to Tong Shui Hong Kong cafe with Jaime doll, my new lunch khaki. Nice deco esp when the walls is painted with bright fuschia pink. We were chatting happily and I mentioned to her abt my friends, my polyz days etc.

When we were abt to leave the cafe, I saw a lady who looks like my fav Moontie. I was not confident whether if I recognised the right person, so I just stood besides her for a while, but she didnt look at my direction leh. Sigh... Her friend was puzzled why I was standing besides her. Anyway, I am in a hurry to go back to my office, so I just walked off.

Later in the office, I sms Moontie asking whether did she go to the Hong Kong cafe. It's really her! Haiz, hw can I nt recognized my dear old Moontie? What a sotong...

Just nw while in a discussion with my boss, my MD passed by her room. Then he suddenly reversed back to my boss's office and spoke to me in a serious tone, 'Next time don't put chocolate on your table.' I was stunned by his action and thought he was nt happy to see food on my table. I quickly apologised to him thinking that he was really angry. Then he said, 'or else the chocolate will be gone cos I will eat it'... What is this man?! He really scared the wit out of me la! Anyway, how many MDs in this world will joke with his staffs? Hmmm... I think I am also quite daring, come to work late often when I am just sitting outside his room. Eating breakfast at my work desk everyday like nobody's business.

He really ate my Kit Kat which my Receptionist's friend bought from Japan. I am going to pass my tax invoice to the Finance liao. Air ticket to Japan and $ to buy the Kit Kats, what else?

Die Hard Fans for HongKong Cafe

Recently conquered quite a number of Hkg Cafes... Here is the list of the cafes I conquered so far:

Website - http://www.hkcafe.com.sg

3) Central @ Taka basement - Milk tea nice, must eat the pork chop baked rice with cheeseeee in dim sum basket. So unforgettable... Confirm need to pay gst & service charge.

4) Happy Valley @ Shenton House (opp Aviva) - Milk tea only $1.20 and nice. Saw one branch @ Tiong Bahru. Cant rem the website. Ramen & rice nt bad. No gst & service charge.

5) Tong Shui Cafe @ Liang Seah St - Milk tea cost $2.88, needs to pay for towel & appetizer + 10% service charge. Not really worth, but I like the deco la.

Perfect Man

They were the first Korean Pop group to open selling tixs concert in Singapore - Shinhwa. Thanks to Michelle for the free tixs that is worth $130 each, darling & I get to watch such a marvellous concert.

About 60% of the seats were taken up + Shinhwa loyal fans standing at the given space near the front stage to give their idol their fullest support. Maybe in Singapore, too many restrictions are impose in a concert, you don't really feel so 'climax' even if the performers give their best performance. Think I must go overseas to watch a concert to feel the difference...

Can see that some of the Shinhwa members trained their body v.well. I think many girls' were dripping saliva when they were watching their performance. That's a session in the show where one of the members was performing sexy dance. Girls' favourite... Haha...

The newspaper mentioned that Rain will be holding his concert in Singapore. I hope I will get a chance to watch his performance cos he can dance quite well like Shinhwa...

Luckily the day after the concert I need not wake up so early, yippie!!!

My Darling's Mum Cuisine

My Darling's Mum Cuisine

Today went to darling's hse to eat home cooked prawn mee... I must say that darling's mum is really kind enough to specially cook prawn mee for 4 greedy pigs. Mayb will whip sum dishes for her in return next time. (Dun worry, the food I cook is edible though I seldom cook, ask my dear if dun believe :P).

After that went to Jln Besar to look for shower mixer, previously went to IMM & a few hardware shops to look for it, but somehow just cannot find the type of mixer I want. Finally! Hope I bought the right type of mixer. :P

Was about to head to the bus stop to board bus 56 to darling's home again when I came across this mini Korean Supermkt @ Burlington Square. Went in to see whether if the mini mart sells any nice tempting goodies. Will tell u next time whether the tibits I bought taste nice or not. Think my blog is getting more and more like a food review blog. Hope people won't get bored reading my blog.

Aunt Moi's Prawn Mee, looks delicious?

Coffee, Teh or Mix?

What's brewing?

Mit Ah Lie to go Holland Village today. It's the best thing to laze in a cosy cafe on a sunny Sunday.

Essential Brew Tea Cafe & Restaurant - Transcend to a realm where chic coziness defines the tone and inspirations of a modernized tea concept emanate throughout. Hmmm... Sounds so profound...

We headed to the second level, took off our shoes ( those who has HKG feet is not recommended to go 2nd level ) and seated on those plush red cushions. Reminds me of the Japanese 'Tatami' style where people are sitting on cushion instead of normal dining chair. Of course you can stretch out your legs @ Essential Brew. That's why I said those with HKG feet is nt recommended to go 2nd level.

Basically the cafe is focusing on selling tea products. You can go to their website http://www.essentialbrew.com.sg to find out more about their products.

After eating a plate of nice but oily Char Kway Teow @ Holland V, Ah Lie & I went to Raffles City basement to drink tea again. This cafe called Mix, is selling healthy beverages. Think it originate from Hong Kong, heard that the owner opened 13 stalls all over Hong Kong. The one @ Singapore is a franchise... http://www.mix-world.com.hk

Shop-aholics

Buy! Buy! Buy!

Wonder if I'm too stressed or what... Bought a lot of things tis week. Ytd after work I went to Icons and bought a skirt and two pairs of shoes @ reasonable prices. Make an appointment for express mani + classic pedi @ the same location.

Went to do my xpress mani + classic pedi today. It took less than an hr to do the job, so fast man! The fastest in my record... Haha... Anyway, I also dun enjoyed doing mani & pedi for too long. The job was done fast bcos one person was doing pedi while another person was doing the mani. I was the only customer in their shop, really felt like a 'tai tai' being served by two person. In the end, I realized that the two pretty gals are actually sisters!!! Forget to mention that I choosed dark purple + black colour for my nails. Thinking of going for deep blue colour next time...

Classic pedi is really relaxing with the lady scrubbing and massaging my tired legs... ( I dun have HKG feet, dun worry!!! ). Business dun seems to be gd @ Icons. Felt that there are more 'window shoppers' compared to buyers... I like the place... It's like Bugis St but the whole place is air conditioned (very impt for shoppers like me!!!).

Bought a spaghetti stripe top with a bit of diamonte design @ Bugis e-base for < 10 bucks!!! My bro commented that the top looks too young on me. Who cares?!

Saw a nice simple maroon top @ Topshop, costs 43 bucks. So ex... Sigh... Saw a nice bag @ Icons, shall I buy?

Coming topic... Coffee, Teh or Mix???

Long time never go shopping, nw felt like a jail bird, nt in the mood to do anything... Tat time boss was asking why I am sighing every now and then... She will know if she is in my shoes... Thinking of asking Michelle to go mani + pedi with me. I missed eating crabs, but hw to eat when I have sore throats? Mon boss bought chocos for me & the other 3 secretaries for helping out at the front counter, nv even eat a pc cos throat wasnt feeling gd since last Fri... To all my friends out there, I don't really fancy chocz so much, but if you wanna buy for me, hope you dont mind I pass it to someone who really knows hw to appreciate choc - my ah lau...

Wedding Bells are ringing!!!

Wedding Bells are ringing!!!

Most prob next month my Hindu colleague will invite me & my manager to her wedding. First time attending a Hindu Christian wedding. It's held @ a Community Centre. I never attend a wedding @ CC before, like a mountain tortoise... Hehe...

Then in May, Ms Sheryl is also going to get married. Think I will see some of my poly classmates. Anyway, not very keen to know how they have been doing since I don't really keep in touch with most of them.

If not wrong, Sheryl is holding her wedding on a Thurs. Hmmm... Most prob will take leave the following day. By then I shall be a confirmed staff liao...

KTV Time

KTV Time

Went to my usual ktv spot located at Chinatown with Michelle. I find singing is so relaxing, can make one forgets all worries. Sang many new songs like 'Kiss Goodbye', 'Meng Bu Luo', 'Tian Hui' etc... At the end of the four hours, throat getting a bit sore... Haha... It was fun singing, however.

After that, Mic. & I strolled down to Raffles Place. It reminds me of the famous Mr Teh Tarik that I had when I was working as a temp in Kumon. The icy Teh Tarik was so chilling... We ended up going to TCC (again?) @ Circular road. The cosy place was recommended by another good buddy, Eileen.

I really must say the food, regardless of main course or finger food is simply delicious. Maybe shall work part time there to 'kapok' their recipes... Hehe...

Sometimes being a bad person isnt that bad

Sometimes being a bad person isnt that bad

Sometimes people have to change their working style in order to survive in their working environment. I have my reasons for saying so...

If you have colleagues who like to play company politics, you must know how to play along with them. You can choose to be low profile, but some people just like to drag you into the 'game'. What to do...

At this time, you must really know how to prevent yourself from being bullied...

You people watch out! Don't think I'm small size and easy going means that I can be easily bullied... Not a chance from now on...

A life of indulgence

A life of indulgence

I had been indulging myself on food & leisure recently... 'Sea of Gold' which is Mango + Sprite drink to quench my thirst @ TCC, finger licking creamy crab from Palm beach, Western food @ Hans (My boss's treat again, I'm so lucky!), Sakae, Pasta Mania... Even the normal food I ordered from food court - roast suckling pig rice. Oh my god... I must put a stop for eating too much good food...

I went shopping at Orchard ytd... Sales everywhere... 9 out of 10 shops that I stepped in, I would buy something. So many nice clothes and good bargain at this spring season, really must buy...
